week 9 - Monday

these numbers don't include the homemade cabbage roll casserole my mother in law made. i have no idea how to add that in. she doesn't use salt and i didnt add any, so the sodium is fine, but i don't know what kind of ground meat she used or what else she put in it. i did the best i could.

number 2: water - yep
number 3: green tea - yep
number 4: exersize - this is a sticky one. i am still sick and medicated so i don't want to do anything too stressful, but i also went out to our mall for 3 hours and walked at least half of that time. it wasn't much of a walk, more of a saunter, but i was moving constantly and i wasn't at home sitting on my ass. does it count or no?

weigh in: -.5 for a total of -9, 1 pound off from my monthly goal

assessment: this was not one of my more successful months. kind of a disappointment but not surprising considering my spotty tracking and exercise. i have had a terrific amount of stress, and a sinus/ear infection. i have reason enough, but i have to not let that kind of stuff kick me down. i need to be a priority too, and i need to lose this weight to be healthy. it has to go.

goals: i am not going to change my goals too much for this month, my big goal is to better for March than i did for Feb.

goals for weeks 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13
number 1: tracking calories, etc.
number 2: min. 2 glasses water
number 3: one mug of green tea a day
number 4: exersize three times a week, with 5 min stretching

week 8 - monday

good thing i got on that treadmill on saturday. today is a holiday here, so there was no treadmilling. hoping to HELL i can on the thing tomorrow at naptime. calories etc, i haven't put my numbers all together yet, but i have a speed bump. i went to the show and had popcorn. i put the topping on, so i was moderate... but have no idea what to give that.. i may post my numbers and just add a proviso :)

i got my water in and my green tea.

week 7 - sat

i don't usually post on the weekend, but i had to give myself a big 'ol pat on the back. i was motivated to jump on the treadmill and then i followed through!! 25 min, mostly 3.5 and 3.4 dist. 1.34

week 7 - Friday

sorry i stopped posting. my wednesday weigh in was down another half a pound. any loss is a great thing. so i am happy about it. my son has had a lingering minor health issue that has (hopefully) come to a head this week, and my stress levels have been through the roof. i have been sporatically tracking, but paying close attention. i am confident that my numbers are fine, and i needed to cut myself some slack this week. i have been up on my water, but my green tea has been bad. my exersice, i managed twice this week on the treadmill. i am so proud of myself that i got on that treadmill today.

I am hoping that monday things will have calmed down and am prepared to go back to all my steps after my breathing room.

week 7 - Monday

i think i have kicked sodiums ass!!! look at that! i am awesome! of course, you must look at the nasty fat number, but that reflects my valentines chocolate binge, which i guestimated, but at least i attempted to track it!

number 2: water - oh yeah!

number 3: green tea - you gotcha!!

number 4: exercise - yay! treadmill 25 min, 20 min at least at 3.4, but i tried to do as much 3.5 as i could and i was playing with incline...

what a day!! all criteria conquered!!

week 7 - weekend review and dieters nightmare

happy valentines day all... the dieter's nightmare... i'm not dieting, i get it, but hubby still bought me enough chocolate to do some serious damage to my 'eating plan'

saturday i did a workshop and had no control over what was for lunch and didn't exactly try and keep my portion down, but didn't have seconds of anything, and only had a small amount of dessert. for dinner, one of hubby's uncles sent over the most amazing curry, no way to track it, but he did make it. couldn't be too bad, could it?

sunday i made fantastic choices! and for dinner had the leftovers from hubby's uncle. no snacking at all.

the scale this morning (not weigh in, just peeking) had a nasty story for me, but "special lady time" is returning very soon, i can FEEL it... i will be exercising today especially since i only got one in last week.

i didn't track. i started off great, but then had a crazy busy day of running around and i dealt with my son's freak out by emotionally eating, didn't exercise, it was a horrible downward spiral and i ended up feeling like crap because of my stupid choices, plus i had a nap that made me feel even worse. i can't even piece my day back together. there will be days like this.. i get it..

i had not one, but two serving of avocado. high in fat, but higher in benefits and i didn't end up going over my allowance, so i'm pretty happy with my day

Lordy, i was in a CRANKY mood, even being all by myself. i even paced around the house chanting, "cranky, nasty, cranky, nasty." LOL! so i made some pretty stupid choices. i even decided not to track, but i changed my mind.. it isn't a pretty picture, but i tracked it anyway...

number 2: water - that i did.

number 3: green tea - sadly, no.

number 4: exercise - no, and i had wanted to, but i squandered my time in the morning (with a 90 minute bath) and spent the rest of the day running around like a crazy woman trying to fit everything in. i am hoping to make up for it

week 6 - weigh in wednesday

down 2 more pounds. i am -8!! right on track.
if i had really looked at my scale picture from monday, which i only did today, i wouldn't have freaked out so much. i don't think i looked very carefully... but that's ok.. it's far easier to behave on a monday, tuesday before weighing in that it is on a saturday, sunday.

i have to say, i love the idea of pictures of the scale. i am not going to post them, or even my weight. i mentioned it last year on this same journey and the reasons.. maybe i will post about it again... but not right now.

a very nasty friend of mine introduced me to a deadly sensation called a sweet georgia brown. it is pecans, caramel, and chocolate! i had two which equalled almost a third of my ENTIRE days worth of fat!! if i had only had one, it would have been totally worth it!! they were amazing, however they blew my fat numbers for the day! don't ever eat one! you will spend every moment of every day plotting to buy some in secret. no, i haven't broken down..... yet.....

i know today is supposed to be weigh in, but i have decided to bend to peer pressure (based on the fact that the one blog i read where they track, they weigh in on wednesdays and in light of the fact that my scale did not reflect my efforts this weekend i am permanently changing my weigh in day) and i am changing my weigh in day to wednesday. this will give me a day or two after the weekend for weigh in. i know i sound totally flippant, but i really do mean it.

i really thought i had written my day down and i was going to fill it in later.. turns out i didn't write a thing down! but that may be a good thing because i tried to medicate a migraine with grease, fat, sugar, chocolate and sodium. just so you know, it wasn't successful... LOL. but seriously all bets are off when my head hurts like that, i may have made bad choices, but i didn't pig out, didn't go crazy. i would consider it a win-lose thing... LOL

water, i got my water in

exercise... my friend says housework doesn't count as "exercise" i think it should especially if you spend two hours at it. no vacuuming or anything, but it was intense cleaning. so i give myself half marks. at least i was moving and not sitting on my ass eating.
